This morning Guy Richard, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport, MS, reports via text message: "A lot of wind and rain. Portions of coast are flooding. We still have power and are fine. We'll see what today has in store. Then we'll have to evaluate damage to area. Thanks for checking." Pray for the church's protection, vitality and ministry in these times of need in the Gulf Region. FPC Gulfport made a decision to relocate off the shoreline to gain some safety in the event of future hurricanes. They have a beautiful new facility in a strategic location. I was honored to take part in the dedication of the new sanctuary and facility. Isaac shows the wisdom of that decision. Who would have thought that another Hurricane could have hit the shores of Gulfport on the anniversary of Katrina.
