RUF Campus Minister Rev. Nick Owens and his wife Erin.

RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) at the University of Delaware is led by Rev. Nick Owens and his wife Erin.  For more information about meeting times and places, please contact Nick and visit the RUF UD website.

Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Nick began college at DePaul University in Chicago, IL as a jazz performance major (guitar) just 6 weeks after becoming a Christian. Desiring to be a minister of this good news about Jesus that had just turned Nick's world upside down, he left DePaul, soon after met Erin, and attended Moody Bible Institute (Chicago). Nick and Erin, a.k.a. "Team Owens," married in 2007. Nick attended Wheaton College Graduate School, graduating with a M.A. in Biblical Exegesis in 2011. While at Wheaton, Nick and Erin served in youth ministry and began to dream about serving in college ministry with RUF someday. Nick and Erin then moved east to Philadelphia, PA where they both studied and graduated in 2014 from Westminster Theological Seminary. While at Westminster Nick worked with Greek InterVarsity at the University of Pennsylvania. This past year, Erin has been a counseling intern with CCEF and Nick has served as director of college ministry at Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA. They are very excited about launching the new RUF ministry at the University of Delaware.

RUF International at the University of Delaware is led by Rev. Rick Gray and his wife Wendy.  For more information about English Conversation Classes, Dinner & Discussion meetings at UD's INNternationale, monthly social events, sightseeing trips, and all other RUF-I activities, please visit the RUF-I page, the RUF-I at UD Facebook site, or contact Rev. Rick was born in Wilmington, Delaware, and grew up in the Newark area. He began serving as a campus minister for international students with RUF-I in 2010 at the University of Delaware, where as an undergraduate he first began to seriously consider the claims of Jesus Christ. A graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary, Rick entered the gospel ministry as a youth pastor, and then served with Mission To the World in East Africa for 21 years. Wendy grew up in Columbia, Maryland, where she committed her life to Jesus Christ at an early age. She is a graduate of Covenant College, Clemson University, and the University of Texas, where she earned her doctorate in linguistics to serve as a Bible translator. Rick and Wendy met while they were both serving as missionaries in Uganda. Rick loves learning about different cultures, hanging out with his international friends, and watching God work in their hearts and lives. Wendy is a full time homemaker, who loves baking, gardening, and raising their three sons: Grant (2002), Aidan (2005) and Chase (2007).
