The youth ministry of Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Newark is a community that seeks to be transformed by Christ through teaching, fellowship, and mission.

  • Teaching: We have weekly teachings based on God’s Word and focused on the Gospel message of the free gift of grace that is offered to us through Christ Jesus.

  • Fellowship: We are a loving community that recognizes we are all sinful people in need of God’s grace that are working together to grow in our knowledge and love for God. To that end we have frequent activities and times of fellowship for the youth to form genuine relationships with each other.

  • Mission: We are committed to serving our church, community, and the world through service projects and mission trips.

Sunday School

Sunday School is a great time to get together and learn more about God and what He has done for us. We meet weekly from 9:30-10:30 every Sunday. This Spring we have two great studies for Sr. High and Jr. High Students respectively, both of which meet in the Family Life Center.

Sr. High - Soteriology: The Doctrine of Salvation - Led by Pastor Evans

Jr. High - 1 Corinthians - Led by Micah Freer

Youth Group

Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings. For our Spring schedule we will meet from 5:00-7:00pm. Youth Group is open to all students between 6th and 12th grade (Middle school-High school).

Every week we enjoy fellowship through games, worship through songs and teaching, and every other week have group discussions broken up by grade and gender (eg. Sr. High boys and girls/ and Jr. High boys and girls).

On alternating weeks we also enjoy a pizza dinner as a group. The dinner is free and includes gluten free options as well.
